CenterMint ("we", "our", or "the app") is a card centering measurement tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it.
Card recognition runs on your device. Correction sharing is optional and off by default. If you enable Share my corrections, future manually corrected card images, suggested and final frame coordinates, correction masks, app version, and device model are automatically sent to CenterMint through Cloudflare for detection evaluation and improvement. We do not upload your scan history or backfill corrections made before you enabled sharing.
Sharing is off by default and can be turned off at any time in Data & Privacy. Turning it off stops future uploads and retries; samples already received remain available for review. An installation-specific random credential and its hash are used for authorization, isolation, and duplicate prevention. They are not your Apple ID, email address, or advertising identifier, but submitted samples are associated with this installation identifier. The upload service uses your IP address transiently for rate limiting; the application database does not store it. Cloudflare processes network information to provide the service.
Images and annotation files are kept in private Cloudflare R2 storage; receipt and budget metadata are stored in Cloudflare D1. Only authorized operators can download them. We retain received corrections while needed for detection evaluation and improvement. For access or deletion requests, contact us using the address below; we may need information to identify the relevant sample. Data is not sold or used by CenterMint for advertising. Card images may include the area surrounding the card; share only images you intend to contribute.
Batch import (choosing several photos at once from the home screen) is handled differently from single scans. Before your first batch, the app shows a one-time notice: photos you batch-import and the borders the app detects or you confirm are uploaded to CenterMint through Cloudflare to evaluate and improve border detection. Uploaded images are re-encoded without location or camera metadata, are associated only with the same installation identifier used for correction sharing, and follow the same storage, retention, access and deletion terms described above. You can decline in that notice or turn batch learning off at any time in Settings; single scans are never uploaded unless you separately enable Share my corrections.
In versions that include Share usage statistics, this setting is off by default and separate from card-learning sharing and advertising consent. If you turn it on in More > Data & Privacy, CenterMint sends session and feature-use events, scan completion and processing times, purchase outcomes, app version and supported language with a random installation credential. Our server stores a keyed hash of this credential. These pseudonymous events are linked to the same installation, not to an Apple account. They contain no card photos, card names, album contents, payment details, advertising ID or precise location.
Cloudflare processes the network requests, including IP addresses required to deliver and rate-limit them. We do not store IP addresses in the usage database or enable Worker request logs. Statistics are accessible only through a private administrator dashboard and are not used for cross-app advertising tracking. Unsent events are kept on device for up to seven days; received events are automatically removed after at most 90 days. Turning sharing off cancels pending uploads and clears unsent events; requests already received may remain until retention expires. If you enable sharing again, a new random identifier is created. Events collected before you opted in are never backfilled.
In version 1.7.3 and later, if you claim the optional seven-day Pro trial after sharing an image, we send Apple's signed app-download transaction to our Cloudflare service to verify eligibility. This includes an app-specific App Store account identifier and Apple-signed app-download information, not your Apple email, password, payment method, card image or share destination. The server verifies Apple's signature and retains only a keyed hash of the app-specific account identifier and the first grant time. Each App Store account can receive this trial once; sharing again or changing devices does not reset its expiration.
This minimal claim ledger is kept for the duration of the promotion to prevent repeated grants. Previously granted local trials are migrated using their existing start time. Devices with a cached trial may contact this service to restore or verify it; users who have never claimed a trial do not send this information merely by opening a result. Network failures do not create a new local grant. This processing is for trial functionality and fraud prevention, independent of optional analytics, photo contribution, and advertising consent. Ad personalization and tracking behavior may depend on your region, device settings, and consent choices. You can manage advertising privacy controls in iOS Settings and, where shown, in the app's consent prompt.
CenterMint Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your device Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Scan history, saved records, and local training samples are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. Saved scans remain local. Future eligible correction samples (after you explicitly enable sharing), batch-imported photos (after you accept the batch learning notice), and optional usage events (after separate opt-in) may be transmitted; received data is accessible only to authorized CenterMint operators. Files you choose to export or share are handled by the destination you select.
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
